DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: August 2026

BetDivision (Pty) Ltd respects intellectual property rights. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement affecting content hosted by us or published through material that uses our Service, consistent with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and South African copyright law.

1. Submitting a takedown notice

Send a written notice to our designated agent at manager@betdivision.co.za with the subject line "DMCA Notice". Your notice must include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. The exact URL or API resource where the allegedly infringing material appears, in enough detail for us to locate it.
  3. Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices may be invalid. Knowingly submitting a false claim can expose you to liability for damages and legal costs.

2. What we do next

We acknowledge valid notices within two business days, remove or disable access to the identified material where we control it, and notify the affected client with a copy of the notice. Where the material sits on a client's own infrastructure we forward the notice and require the client to act.

3. Counter-notice

If your material was removed in error or as misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address containing the identification and location of the removed material, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury of your good-faith belief that the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you reside or, if outside the United States, of the South African courts. We may restore the material after 10 business days unless the complainant confirms legal proceedings.

4. Repeat infringers

We keep a record of notices. Accounts that receive repeated substantiated notices are suspended and then terminated under our Terms of Service.

5. Trademarks and brand abuse

Trademark complaints, including affiliate brand bidding and cloned landing pages, may be sent to the same address marked "Trademark Complaint" with proof of registration and examples of the abuse.
